Hi I have a pre 1985 MEC 600 JR that i am using to load some 1 oz loads for 12g using federal gold medal hulls. I have run out of adjustment room for both the cam and the crimp punch and it seems the crimp is still too deep. anyone have any suggestions? i am wondering if upgrading to the newer Mec 600 JR cam crimp assembly would be of benefit? do the newer parts provide for more adjustment?Product Overview. I have an old (1964) Mec 600 jr that I converted to 2 1/2" 410 and a new 600 jr MK5 for 3" 410. I have loaded a lot of rounds never needed the stripper. My hulls don't hang up at the reprime station. YMMV.I bought a complete Mec die set with all the parts I needed from Ballistic Products for $90. You may find a used 12 ga Mec 600 Jr for less than that, as I have seen them go for $75 to $100 in my area.
